Signature Construction Inc. is a Toronto-area design, build, and renovation company. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Signature Construction Inc.
Information we collect
We collect information that customers, prospective customers, HomeVision users, employees, trades, and authorized users provide to us, along with limited technical information needed to operate our services.
- Contact information, including names, email addresses, telephone numbers, project addresses, country, and postal or ZIP codes.
- Project information, including estimates, invoices, change orders, messages, selections, progress notes, and photographs.
- HomeVision information, including room photographs, design preferences, home-improvement questions, requested professional support, and generated or saved design concepts when those features are available.
- Account and authentication information used to provide secure access to the customer portal and CRM.
- Business and accounting information exchanged with QuickBooks Online when an authorized company administrator connects that service.
- Website and device information such as browser type, approximate location, and security logs.
How we use information
- Responding to inquiries and preparing estimates.
- Planning, managing, documenting, and completing renovation projects.
- Providing portal access, communicating about projects, and obtaining approvals.
- Creating and reconciling accounting records when QuickBooks Online is connected.
- Protecting our customers, systems, and business against error, misuse, and fraud.
- Meeting legal, tax, insurance, safety, and recordkeeping requirements.
HomeVision photos and questions
HomeVision uses submitted photos, room details, questions, and location information to provide the requested app experience, improve project recommendations, and connect users who request professional help with Signature Construction Inc. or an appropriate professional service. A user’s photographs may show personal belongings, so users should remove or avoid capturing people, confidential documents, valuables, and other sensitive information before uploading.
HomeVision guidance is general information and is not a substitute for an onsite inspection, engineering, architectural, medical, emergency, electrical, gas, or other licensed professional advice. We do not use submitted room photographs for public advertising without separate permission.
QuickBooks Online connection
QuickBooks Online access is limited to authorized Signature Construction Inc. personnel. When connected, our CRM may exchange customer, estimate, invoice, payment-status, and related accounting information with Intuit. We use this information only to operate the company’s project and accounting workflows. We do not sell QuickBooks data or use it for advertising.
An authorized administrator may disconnect QuickBooks from the CRM. Intuit’s own privacy policy also applies to information processed by QuickBooks Online.
When information is shared
We may share information with authorized employees, subcontractors, professional advisers, payment and accounting providers, hosting and email providers, and other service providers only as reasonably necessary for the stated purposes. Some providers may process information outside Canada, where it may be subject to local laws. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect legal rights and safety.
We do not sell or rent personal information.
Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No system can guarantee absolute security. We retain information only as long as reasonably required for project, warranty, accounting, legal, security, and business purposes, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized where practical.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable Canadian law, you may ask to access or correct your personal information, withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis, or ask questions about our privacy practices. Certain project, contractual, tax, or legal records may need to be retained.
